Sorry...haven't been on in a while. Take your time and refer to pictures and realistic plushies for design elements. If you have any more questions or get stuck on a part buzz me again! Good Luck!!!

Hey Marioman......

Ok, so……

The head is built from a large cardboard box. I trimmed up the corners and edges so that the shape was just right and cut up an old back pack so we could use the straps to help him support the weight. The box is abnormally large to get the right “look”…it actually goes from his head down to his waist. GIR’s arms were only his hands down the sides of his body. Once we had the structure, I had him try it out for fit and weight. We Adjusted as needed. Now we were ready for the “skin”. We used the correct colored fuzzy material for all the outsides. Green – body, pink –tongue, Grey – zipper, Black – ears feet and hands, White - eyes. All this had to be sewn together…A challenge to my skills on a sewing machine .It’s kind of hard to get right. It was basically baggie pajamas with a huge hood to cover the fake GIR head…if that makes sense. I made the ears out of cardboard and added a bit of stuffing to fill them out. The eyes were crumpled up newspaper wrapped with the white felt and the tongue was cardboard with stuffing for shape. Let me know if you have any more questions.
